בן שרה ומשה, נולד ביום כ"ט בכסלו תרפ"ד (7.12.1923) בלודז', פולין, והיה בין אלה שנעקרו ממקומם בגלל המלחמה והגזירות שנגזרו על היהודים. שמחה מצא את הדרך אל הפרטיזנים והתנסה בתלאות מרובות אך יכול להן. כתום המלחמה הלך ב"נתיב הבריחה" ומאיטליה העפיל לארץ (לפי המשוער בשנת 1947) ועבד כפועל בבית-חרושת לסוכריות.
בפרוץ מלחמת-העצמאות התגייס מיד. לחם בבית-דגון ובחולדה, השתתף בפשיטה על מג'דל ובמערכת אשדוד.
שמחה שירת בחטיבת "גבעתי", במחלקה שהורכבה מפרטיזנים-לשעבר, ובאומץ-לבו הרב היה פועל לפרקים על דעת עצמו, והמפקד לא ידע אם לנזוף בו על אשר לא חיכה לפקודה, או לשבח אותו בשל עוז-רוחו. עם חידוש הקרבות לאחר ההפוגה הראשונה כבשה פלוגתו את תל א-צאפי, נערכה להגנה במקום ועמדה בהתקפת-נגד של האויב. באחת מהתקפות אלה, ב-9.7.1948 נפצע ונפטר מפצעיו, ביום ה' בתמוז תש"ח (12.7.1948). הובא למנוחת-עולמים בבית-הקברות הצבאי בפתח תקווה.

Son of Sarah and Moshe, born on 7/12/1923 in Lodz, Poland, and was between those who were uprooted from their houses because of the war and the edicts against the Jews. Simcha found his way to the partisans and experienced much suffering but made it through. As the war ended, he went in the "escape route" and illegaly immigrated to Israel (approximately 1947) from Italy and worked in a candy factory.

He immediately voluenteered to the army as the the War of Independence started. He fought in Beit dagon and Hulda, participated in the incursion to Majdal and in the Ashdod division. Simcha served in the "Givati" division, in a unit formed out of former partisans, and with his great courage sometimes acted on his own mind, and his commander didn't know whether to reproach Simcha for not waiting to an order, or to praise him for his courage. As the fighting went on, after the first break, Simcha's company conquered Tel Al-Tzafi, prepared to defend the place and stood the enemy's counter attack. In one of this attacks, on the 9/7/1948, Simcha was wounded, and he died on 12/7/1948. Simcha was interred at the military graveyard in Petah Tiqwa.
